With three outbreaks of electric ants now north of the Daintree river, this will be an important info and Q&A session by DAF.
Electric ants are a serious invasive pest that have the potential to impact our outdoor lifestyle, unique environment and profitable tourism and agriculture industries. They can inflict a painful, long-lasting, venomous sting. The reaction from their sting can range from moderate to severe pain and, in rare cases, may cause a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
Dantree Coast 360 (DC360) are proud to be hosting an electric ant information session at Daintree Siest presented by experts from DAF. This is an important opportunity to learn more about identification, reporting, requesting free surveys and preventative measures we can all take to protect our way of life.
