MISSION STATEMENT

Daintree Coast 360 (DC360) is a membership-based group for businesses, residents and rate-payers from the Daintree River to Cape Tribulation, supporting long-term economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being.

DAINTREE COAST 360 (DC360) AIMS INCLUDE:

  • To protect, defend and improve the Daintree Coast Community’s ecological integrity, economic prosperity and community well-being.
  • To develop and implement strategies to counteract organisations who opportunistically purchase property with negative impacts on the Daintree Coast community.
  • To protect, defend and improve the Daintree Coast’s mix of residential communities, small businesses, conservation management, ecotourism, horticulture and small farms (as prescribed within the town plan) for its vital importance to continued well-being and prosperity.
To liaise with Commonwealth, State and Local Governments and any other agency or interest:
  • To minimise damage or threats to community interests causing community disruption, environmental damage or economic loss;
  • To strive for a balance between the availability of long-term rentals and non-resident Airbnb/short-term accommodation, which limits rental options for local workers and other residents; &
  • To provide a point of contact and act as a communication conduit for the Daintree Coast community.
