Celebrating DC360's outcomes since establishment

During our recent AGM and General Meeting held on the 16th November 2024, Daintree Coast - DC360 discussed and celebrated a number of positive achievements since the group's establishment.

This list of key achievements reflects the group's collective efforts and dedication supporting long-term economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of the Daintree Coast.

2022 - Establishment of group – thanks to all involved.
2023 - Federal MP attended meeting with micogrid consultants for update.
2023 – Creation of logo, letterhead, various templates, email accounts, etc. Thank you team.
2023 - Establishment of DC360 website and Facebook page.
2023 - Dept Biosecurity information session held north of the river.
2022 & 2023 – Discussion on what constructive communication with buy back organisations could look like.
2023 & 2024 - Letters to land purchasing organisations – introduction and follow up sent – responses both written & verbal from 3 organisations to date.
2024 - Local elections – pre candidate meet and greet held north of the river.
2024 - Local elections – post election councillor and mayor meet and greet held north of the river.
2024 - Electric Ant info session held north of the river– good community uptake of follow up.
2024 - Ferry consultative group – initial discussions held with Mayor about next steps – could be progressed if interest/lead.
2024 - Facilitation/promotion of community pop ups post disaster.
Ongoing - Established positive point of contact for those outside community to facilitate/commence community discussion.
Ongoing - Forum to discuss community issues/concerns/progress.
